What we do

Professional Development

The content and structure of our programmes are based on research evidence about how adults learn and how that learning can best be supported.

Our programmes focus primarily on developing early language and communication, the foundational skills which children need to succeed in KS1 and beyond.

Our approach embeds the use of the Environment Rating Scales within each programme empowering delegates to use these research validated tools to support their own quality improvement process.

Research and evaluation

We provide training on the Environment Rating Scales for teams planning to use them for research and measurement. This includes initial training and rigorous reliability assessment.

We also have a fieldwork team trained to complete accurate assessments of the quality of early years practice for research studies using the Environment Rating Scales
